Untitled Hello Puppets AU Fact

So, I just posted an OC bio post and now I just wanna ramble until y'all are sick of hearing me. Starting with this:

In my AU, Olivia Gubberson started the fire that burned down The Handeemen Studio after witnessing what happened to Owen's body (mummified puppet corpse) and set the building on fire in an attempt to destroy the Handeemen.

A Memory?

It started out just like any other day.

Olivia showed up at the studio, ready to help Owen with an episode, just like she always did. She knocked on the door...but there was no answer. She assumed he was just busy and hadn't heard her, so she knocked again. Once again, no answer. "....Owen? That's it, I'm coming in." She took out a spare key, letting herself into the building.

"Whatever this is, it isn't funny, Owen." She felt a chill pass through her body...as she heard a chuckle that almost sounded like...Mortimer? "Owen....This really isn't funny...." She clutched a flashlight in her hand, looking around.

There, Right in front of her...was Mortimer Handee, attached to the hand of a girl wearing a white and blue shirt and a bag over her head. "Father isn't here right now, he said he had a pain in the head, why don't you play with us instead?" She shuddered. It wasn't that Mortimer was talking to her - no, she knew The Handeemen were alive, Owen had told her about the spellbook.

...But his tone...

"Mortimer...did you do something?" She messed with the neck of her sweater, eyeing the puppet with suspicion. "Done something, me? Of course not! What's got you thinking so pessimistically?"

"I'm....just gonna go."

"What a shame you couldn't stay. Oh well, be sure to come back if you want to play!"

After a while of aimless wandering, not really sure why, Olivia found a door. Pushing it open, she was greeted by the back of a chair. "Owen, I swear-" She tilted her head...something felt off. She inched closer, flashlight in hand, and turned the chair around. She instantly regretted it, feeling herself about to vomit. She backed up, smacking into the wall and dropping her torch. It was Owen in the chair, alright.

But his entire lower half had been removed, felt puppet hands stitched where his own should be.

"God, what did they do to you?"

That was when Mortimer burst into the room.

"NO, NO, NO, THIS CAN'T BE! YOU'VE WITNESSED SOMETHING YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO SEE!"

Olivia Gubberson (Owen's elder twin sister.....by two minutes.) would probably be an Earth Bender, although I'm torn between that and a Fire Bender thanks to some of her traits (namely a temper and being quite ferocious when it calls for it).

Ashley Anderson (Journalist for a local supernatural magazine)....I'm definitely thinking Fire Bender. I don't really have a lot of reasoning rn it's early and I'm sleep deprived, but I might add more to this later.

As for my last OC, Bella The Ballerina (the middle "sibling" of the Handeemen), she would most likely bend water. Again, I'll go into it later if I remember this post, but from my (somewhat limited) knowledge of ATLA, it matches her personality.

I don’t know if you have watched or heard of “Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005)”, but if you have… Hear me out and recommend watching it if you haven’t seen it.

I’ve been thinking about Mortimer’s Handeemen characters as the Masters of elements of four nations. I think it would be really cool and an interesting idea of an AU of Mortimer and the others to bend their own elements in ATLA.

I think Mortimer would be a Firebender and bend lightning because knowing that Mortimer was mentioned as being a kind, loving, and father figure in the show, I think it would make sense for him using his fire to protect his friends and other good people instead of using it to destroy everything and harm others being fueled by rage, hatred and anger. And I feel like he would almost be like Iroh and both like drinking tea. I think they would get along pretty well.

For Nick Nack, I think waterbending would be fitting for him because he would use water to do watercolor paint, being the artist he is. And maybe he would be very skilled and talented as both fighter and healer. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Francis (Nick’s father and belong to @ericaportfolio) taught him Bloodblending to use it for evil and against others. It might be fitting for Francis to be both Waterbender and Bloodbender.

For Daisy, I think she would be a very strong and greatest Earthbender like Toph. And knowing how angry she’ll get and her “danger mode”, she would have the ability to bend lava, which also fits.

For Riley, I’m thinking either be an Airbender or Firebender. I’m not sure which would fit for her, but I think Airbender might work. And Rosco as a Flying Bison would make sense because he is a very large fluffy dog, and Flying Bisons are large and fluffy too. But what do you guys think?

Scout as a Firebender? Not surprised because she is a chaotic, little gremlin with her blue fire.

What do you think of the elements for the Handeemen if they were in ATLA? What elements do you think your Hello Puppets OCs would bend? Would they be Benders or Non-benders? Let me know what you guys think in the comments or reblog.

I don't really have a choice, someone has to stop the news about this place from getting out... The kids aren't so bad, really. Just a little misguided. ...Shoot, did I say kids? I meant puppets. It Happened

Olivia [typically shortened to Liv] Gubberson, Owen Gubberson's twin sister, older by exactly 12 minutes [iykyk], won't let anyone, least of all him, forget it. She isn't aware of what happened at the studio or that her brothers' puppets are alive but she goes looking for him and stumbles across the warehouse.

Hello Puppets Headcanons: Injuries

This is the injuries all of my interps and OCs from Hello Puppets and Hello Puppets: Midnight Show have.

Nick Nack:

Fire damage. His arms are badly scarred but he covers it up with his turtleneck and jacket.

A crack on the left side of his face from when Mortimer got so angry at him he physically threw him and he hit the wall.

Riley Ruckus:

Her jaw and mouth. Similar to Nick's face, Mortimer once lost his temper so badly he ripped off her mouth. She managed to fix it but it's still crooked so she wears the mask Nick made for her to cover it.

One of her arms is also fire damaged, although not as badly as Nick.

Bella The Ballerina:

Her eyes. Her eyes are mismatched because she got into a physical fight with Mortimer over how he treats Nick and he ripped out her eye. Owen replaced it but couldn't find one that matched.

Her cracks. Her entire body is covered in cracks from Mortimer losing his temper with her.

Her entire body is also covered in small holes from ripping her strings off (she's a marionette unlike a hand puppet like the others)

Ashley Anderson:

A circular scar going right around her wrist from where Scout was attached to her arm.

Scarred lips from where she cut the stitches on her mouth.

Olivia Gubberson:

Many scars from her and Owens' father - she always took beatings for him whenever she could.

Scarring on one of her arms and her side from the fire as she lost consciousness as the building burned down. She didn't know but it was Owen that dragged her out and brought her to Ashley and her friends.

Since I'm actually starting to interact with people here, I figured I should make an introduction.

My name's Mel, I'm 18 [I act a lot younger than I am], and I'm a bisexual cis-girl [she/her], now that's out of the way, lets get into some other stuff-

My main interests at the moment are Hello Puppets & Hello Puppets: Midnight Show [My favourite character is Nick Nack and I want to shove Mortimer into a woodchipper. I have three OCs, one named Ashley who is a human and shipped with Owen Gubberson and another that's a puppet [she's a marionette who ripped her strings out, you can find more about her on my blog] named Bella and doesn't have a canon ship in her story since her bonds with the Handeemen are all platonic, but she does have one with @graceandtheidiotsquad, her interp of Michael Myers], and Olivia Gubberson, Owen's twin sister, older by 12 minutes. I roleplay, and write fanfiction! I don't feel like I'm very good at either though, heh. Oh, and please don't approach me with fandom drama, I'd rather just stay out of it for my mental health.
